Vail Ski Resort is a ski resort in the western United States, located near the town of Vail in Eagle County, Colorado.
We were lucky enough to start our Colorado ski road trip a day early and squeeze a day in at Vail, which has been on my bucket list since I started skiing 8 seasons ago. I've been dying to visit and experience the resort and villages for myself, after hearing about it for years from my parents (a special resort to them, as it was where they got engaged).
We weren't able to spend much time in Vail, but I've included some mountain stats and recommended places to eat below!
Mountain stats:
At 5,317 acres, Vail is the third-largest single-mountain ski resort in the U.S., behind Big Sky and Park City.
The mountain features 7 bowls, including the Legendary Back Bowls.
There are 31 lifts and 195 runs: 18% beginner, 29% intermediate, 53% advanced/expert.
The longest run is 4 miles long (Riva Ridge)!
Where to eat:
Drunken Goat
The Craftsman
The Rose
Wyld
Vin 48
Alpenrose
La Nonna Ristorante Vail
La Tour Restaurant & Bar
Slope Room
